Reading a Florauna specimen tag

Every coral listing carries the same block of data: species, the mother colony it came from, PAR range, flow preference, placement, frag size and healed date. Those are starting points from my system, not laws — your tank is a different animal. Give a new frag two weeks somewhere modest before you move it to where you want it.

Acclimation, briefly

Temperature match first, then slow drip. Inspect and dip before anything goes near your display — every frag leaves here pest-free, and it is worth keeping it that way. Low light and low flow for the first several days while it recovers from shipping.

Why healed date matters

A frag cut yesterday is an open wound. A frag healed three weeks ago has encrusted onto the plug and is ready to travel. Florauna does not ship fresh cuts, which is why batches arrive in waves rather than continuously.
